What is the Mumbles Hip Hop Record Pool?
Mumbles Hip Hop Record Pool is made up of a collection of DJ's who all have one thing in common. The love for Hip Hop. There are a variety of different DJ's from radio shows with large audiences, mixtapes to gigs/events.

Where is this record pool located?
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Does that mean only DJ's in Toronto will be getting material?
At this moment most of the DJ's are in the Toronto location, but we are also expanding out throughout Canada, USA and worldwide.

Does this pool only accept vinyl?
Vinyl is preferred by all DJs on the list, we do accept CDs as well and we ONLY accept mp3s if you actually have a CD or VINYL pressed, which is also sent to us. Please don't flood our mailbox with mp3s without any notice, those will go straight to the trash can. The reason why we do it this way is because we want to know that the artists out there are serious and not just wasting our time.

Does this cost me anything?
No, this record pool is a free service we supply to indie artists and labels. The only thing you pay for is shipping the records to us.

How do I get started?
1. Download this form, print it and fill it out and include it with your records.
2. When getting your package ready, make sure to include any bio/info/one sheet with each piece of record. That way each DJ has some information about yourself and if they wish to contact you for any future projects, mixtapes and so on, it'll be easier for them to find you.
3. Get a package ready of a minimum of 10 records to send out. If you are outside Canada, MAKE SURE to mark the value of the package under $15 and as promo records when declaring a value at the postal office. If we receive a package that has high custom duties, we will automatically "return to sender." So again, please make sure to follow this specific instruction to avoid problems and delays.

Am I guaranteed to get radio play and feedback?
Please note that we can not guarantee that all artists who send in records will get play and feedback but we can gurantee it will get into the hands of the DJ's in this pool. We will try the best we can to help each of you out and we will also be supplying feedback forms to DJ's to fill out. Feedback is priceless, so make sure you supply us with your contact information. Also if we find out your singles made the charts, we will contact you to let you know. Please do not email us everyday asking what the update is.

I'm a DJ, can I get on the pool?
At this point in time, we are not accepting anymore DJ's onto the pool. If you do feel you deserve to be on this pool, please contact us and write a paragraph on what you can do to help this record pool. To be straight up, whether you were just a one time contestant in the DMCs, run a radio show that has no listeners or just a bedroom DJ who wants free stuff, please don't waste our time. We will not bother responding back to you.
